Founding engineer (back) at Arcads AI
Location: San Francisco & Remote
Salary: $130K - $210K in year

Mission: The mission for this role is to build the back-end of Arcads in a way so our customers can generate and download videos in a stable and fast way. Also to collaborate with the rest of the team to implement new features that will improve our customers’ engagement and grow our MRR, including analytics, AI video generation, and auto edits.
Outcomes: Make our current product more stable and faster by the end of the year.
- Understand the current back-end architecture by reviewing documentation, and code, and consulting with the design and tech teams.
- To identify the key factors of instability and slowness in our current product in the first 2 months.
- Implement the solutions to the issues identified so the current version of the product is more stable, faster, and easier to maintain by the end of the year.
Deliver new features every 2 weeks increasing user engagement and MRR.
- Attend product introductions every 2 weeks.
- Test and evaluate external solutions to determine the best approach for implementing new features.
- Deliver 95% of the tickets by the deadline, starting with high-priority tasks.
Make sure the product stays stable and fast as we scale to millions of generations per month.
- Build scalable architecture.
- Ensure high uptimes and performance
- Troubleshoot and debug new production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Skills:
- You have experience in building and maintaining a tech project over time, within an organization with a strong tech focus.
- Experience with audio and video storing as well as processing them on an AWS environment.
- Experience with nodeJS and PostgreSQL, while integrating multiple SDKs and APIs for payment, CRM, tracking, etc.
- Experience with Unit Testing and bug tracking, as well as deploying the application.
- You are familiar with genAI softwares and you heard about new genAI models.
- Plus: You understand fundamentals of Deep Learning (algorithms, models, and data structures), implementation of said algorithms with GPU management, and optimization at scale.
